I think we were a little confused with Ghent. Coming from Bruges, we were expecting the quiet charm the small town had to offer. Instead we got a busy town with what looked like a Christmas market still running. They had a ferris wheel in the middle of their square which looked like it could hardly fit!
But if you take away the crowds and that odd Christmas market, you can see the beauty that is Ghent. The houses were so beautiful and more unique than the last, and in the vicinity of their main square, they had a lot of medieval looking towers surrounding the small town. Once again, I think we were just here at the wrong time of the year, it was too busy and felt like a tourist trap.
